Its time to get writing about some of the designers I will be wearing this summer. Eudon choi is always on my list ,I can wear his pieces easily to meetings that require a serious and efficient tone and then take them out for some fun in the evening by loosing a shirt or a jacket or just adding some accessories.
Inspired by the famously mysterious, seductive and evocative nude female photography of prolific American artist Francesca Stern Woodman, EUDON CHOI’s SS17 collection– named after Francesca herself – explores the feminine in a more joyful and liberating way.
He plays with new silhouettes and proportions in a way that redefines femininity, with loose fitting mens shirts and coats and oversized dresses and asymmetric cuts. Eudon's background is in menswear, in the way which he has constructed his looks.
The collection is made up of mainly black, white and crisp navy, with standout pieces in sky blue cotton, khaki green and red petal. A monochrome petal blurred, polka dot print motif that echoed the pattern of a dress Woodman once photographed herself is seen in various looks such as oversized dresses and shirts.
Using simple, natural materials such as cotton, wool and linen, the collection also features statement details and embellishments, with straps, oversized buttons, tie details, cuffs and asymmetric or circular flounces on the hems.
