When I think of Nuria González I always think of PRINT – her collections are a cacophony of colour.

This month her Spring/Summer 2014 presentation, shown at Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, was no exception.

Whilst taking inspiration from your mother’s paintings is far from hard work – they’re beautiful – transforming that into texture on a swimsuit definitely is! Luckily she’s armed with her own design expertise and the help of her son, who works in graphics. Even her brother Mauri, whose collector item bags shout her name, is very march part of the Nuria González brand. The end result is fantastic!

Her clientele covers the whole age spectrum and she stocks in the renowned department store, El Corte Inglés as well as other independent boutiques nationwide.

Nuria’s 20-piece collection called ‘White Mama’ is made up of an assortment of bikinis, swimsuits with bodies, dresses, jumpsuits, boleros and complimentary tees. The variety of styles covers all body shapes, her size range goes from small to extra large, and for anything different special orders can be requested.

Of course, there is another side to this designer (vintage!) all coming up in ‘Part Two’.
