When we're talking freezing cold -7 degrees celsius temperatures for NYFW, this is seriously the designer you need! Christopher is always one of the highlights of the LC:M shows and I have to say each year those shows are just more and more chock-o-block as he goes for worldwide domination. It's his understated elegance and ever so practical way of designing that really gets the buyers excited, yet there is always with a bit of fun. I personally have a collection of all of his animal mascot accessories and on balmy summer days, I do get them all out to play. I am looking forward to adding this year's polar bear.
“Polaris” was the name for the AW14 collection, which was inspired by Icelandic photographer Ragnar Axelsson’s “Last Days of the Arctic” - a little 'doom and gloom' perhaps, but with Christopher, hope came in the guise of the colour of the sun in a great yellow duffle coat.
Of course you have his growing number of accessories that are light and practical and then his gloves - hand warmers that are flipping useful and warm. I must say I did try to get into the coat under the watchful eye of his sales team.
Unfortunately, I was just too small, but with LFW approaching, I am crossing my fingers that he will present something of a woman's version, but then that of course will be AFTER the New York arctic.
