MBFW- Herve Leger by Max Azria - GAUDI

Antoni Gaudi has always been a particular favourite architect of mine, so I absolutely fell in love with the Fall 2015 collection from HERVE LEGER by Max Azria, which draws its inspiration from Gaudi’s spectacular Basilica De La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

(null) Looking to recreate the unique language of symbolism Gaudi developed throughout the cathedral, the collection focuses specifically on the detailed and textured facades, and the stunning stain glass windows.

(null) Paying tribute to a modern femininity, the pieces are luxuriously rich and textured; using couture techniques such as jacquards and glass beading to evoke the coloured windows and the celestial ceiling; stud weavings to recall the soaring arches, and metallic hand studding and leather appliqué to recreate the intricate metal work.
