The evening that we visited Hacienda San Felipe (which was superbly organised by Cristina of Mastrending) Chef Alejandro Luis himself took us through the steps of exactly how he and the team can make any event a total success.
First things first the venue is exceptional. Alejandro Luis is careful in his selection of venues throughout the island, and will only work with ones that cover all the necessities.
Next comes the catering and decorative theme, and then of course there is the fashion and make-up, which is where Rodrigo Pineiro comes in as an active team member.
Rodrigo Pineiro is an exceptional designer in his own right, with a full understanding of the female form.
Speaking with Pineiro later he explained that his couture runway selection features properly-sized models. This is because his creative inspiration starts with his clientele of real voluptuous and curvy women.
At the moment his RTW evening pieces size up to a European 42, although not for long as a woman’s curves can be an asset that is sadly overlooked. I really look forward to this, as he certainly knows how to use transparency, a décolleté and even a thigh-high front slit to enhance and accentuate the best of your body.
