We love Lena Hoschek and it's always high point to Berlin Fashion Week - her collections are truly feminine and we look forward to seeing what her inspiration brings - this year we nearly died when we realised it was all to do with British Style. So fabulous!!!
Playing on the traditional concept of sartorial British fashion in the times of Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple and young Queen Elizabeth, Lena Hoschek’s aptly named 'The Brits'collection for AW16/17 shows off the best of English heritage in the most regal yet wearable way.
Presenting the collection at MBFW in Berlin, many of Hoschek’spieces have a quirky vintage air about them showing of the designer’s love affair with the relaxed yet elegant British second-hand clothing style. Garments are created using Harris Tweed and British Millerain waxed cotton and silks.
Using print to show Britain’s famous nature, Hoschek adorned the collection with dreamy rosegarden’s, forests with foxes and squirrels and botanical prints. And in a final push of British inspiration, the collection unexpectedly combines feminine dresses with clumpy riding boots or shirts with real horn buttons.
