Combining a personal love of individuality and eccentric uniqueness with an ethnic, folk-style vibe, Sadak designer Sasa Kovacevic has created an autumn/winter 2016 collection that takes traditional techniques and symbols and gives them a contemporary digital twist.
Created in collaboration with Saudi Arabian HRHPrinceFahad BinFaisalAlSaud, the collection that was presented at MBFW in Berlin is a powerful exploration of dark obsessions portrayed in the innovative use of dramatic silhouettesandprecision tailoring. The result seamlessly layers urban cultural references with a high-end sportswear feel.
Breaking prescribed classical boundaries in his search for innovation, individuality and uniqueness,Kovacevic’s pieces have an exaggerated eccentricity. Not afraid to mix design prints, colours, textures and cuts, Kovacevic combines bomber jacketswith camouflage and cultural headgear or ornamental designs with stripes.
