Always fans of presenting its collections in unexpected venues Perret Schaad's Autumn/Winter 2016/17 collection at Berlin Fashion week took the fashion set to Hellweg hardware store. In fact we weren't given the coordinates until the day before the show worrying when you're trying to coordinate different world phone numbers. Certainly kept me on my toes!
Models presented the high end garments surrounded by building supplies making for an interesting and atmospheric show.
Made for the cool, modern women, the collection is highly-wearable yet at the same time distinctly unique with strong orange hues popping out from the deep, dark greys, the light pastels and the rich tones. The colour palette was selected to reflect the urban cityscape, which the designers further highlighted using metallic accents for a subtle elegant touch.
I for one fell in love with the bright orange shoes, a collaboration between Unützer, especially paired with the sophisticated long pastel blue jacket for an evening look. Accessories were kept to a minimum - handy arm band clutches and very effective huge pop art leafs.
Silk was used in various looks to keep a feminine feel in amongst the strong, geometric lines and silhouettes.
