The Zukker design trio of Sebastian Schettler , Benjamin Kräher and Heike Becker presented a cool, modern, sporty chic Autumn winter 2016/2017 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin this season. Funnily it was the fur that reminded me of those images you see of the cyclists racing through the Sunflower fields of the 'Tour de France'.
The collection – called BERGWERTUNG – combines athleticism with drama to create almost costume-like statement pieces for stylish women with attitude.
Proof of the brands focus on form and quality, the garments are created using distinctive silhouettes and exact cuts. In some places the fit is tight and fitted; while elsewhere oversized coats and jackets distort the body.
The materials used such as fur and corduroy, are only of the highest quality and the end product is the perfect balance between eco-centric design object and functional garment.
Taking a predominant colour theme of black and grey and brightening it up with some vibrant yellows, oranges, reds and blues, the collection has a flat clarity and an elegant simplicity about it, with only a few prints on select pieces and colour blocking everywhere else.
