Fun, fun and more fun is first and foremost on the agenda ofJohnson Hartig's new collection at Libertine for Aw16.
Founded in 2001, Hartig still continues to surprise us all with his innovative use of colour combinations, textures and patterns.
His artistic inspiration is immediately evident in the collection (after all he did study the subject before becoming a designer) and adds infinite appeal.
However it is his ability to take inspiration from history, design, travel and various different cultures and mix them all together to create something fresh that we instantly understand, that gives his collection such appeal on a worldwide scale.
According to Hartig, this season’s collection shows hints of his love of Niki de Saint Phalle and the Tuscan Garden she built.
Embroidery and crystals embellishments were certainly highlights of the collection although I have to say, I’m totally loving the sequin tracksuit.
His customisation technique of picking yester year designs is second to none and I loved all his fur and embroidered coats for women and patchwork pants for men.
But the perfect ending came in the guise of a spectacular magicians cape splattered with Graffiti style lettering spelling out TheWorld –Perfect to wrap ourselves up in!
