In keeping with the Italian fashion scene’s current distaste for anything ‘Fast Fashion’ Costume National creator EnnioCapasa has artfully put together a timeless Fall 2016 collection for the woman who looks to slow fashion and isn’t afraid to express both her sweet side and her tough side.
Pairing oversized masculine military coats, with flimsy silk dresses with ruffles, this is a collection for women who break moulds and shun stereotypes.
Indeed, gender stereotypes were nowhere to be seen at the show at Milan Fashion Week, with the collection teetering on the edge between masculine and feminine. Men wore fitted jackets and tapered trousers, while women wore ties, loose fitting shirts and masculine coats.
Capasa focuses his attention on texture in this collection, using layering and tactile fabrics such as silk, velvet, wool crepe, pleats and ruffles to create movement and texture.
The pièce de résistance was a spectacular shimmering long green overcoat with immaculately cut lapels and oversized masculine proportions.
