I simply adore fashion for a cause, so when contemporary womenswear label, and what better time of the year to remember it, Three Floor launched a new limited edition capsule collection at London Fashion Week in partnership with UN Women National Committee UK to support gender parity, I was ecstatic!
Inspired by female performers such as Loie Fuller and Isadora Duncan, the six looks that make up the collection are an adaptation of the mainline SS17 collection, which celebrates the modern woman in all her strength, fragility and femininity, as well as the pioneering dancers and the natural movement of the body.
The mainline collection uses layering, folds and pleats to give a sense of movement and lightness to the pieces. Graphic prints are combines with more intricate lace patters and floral details.
Stunning embroidered textiles, ruffles and ethereal sheers all add texture.
Even the colours serve to embody the idea of the modern confident woman, with dazzling bright yellows, greens and blues, balanced by clean blacks and whites.
