Moving away from their traditional reputation as a brand of shoes, Coliac debuted its brand new capsule line of clothing recently, in response to a strong demand from loyal clients.
Martina Grasselli, the founder and designer of Coliac wanted to return to a more minimal, flawless and basic fashion ideal inspired by the East with her traditional unisex aesthic.
Just like the philosophy behind the now-famous footwear collections, the new clothing line emphasises the decoration of the pieces, with studs on leather jackets, piercings to replace seams and the trademark Coliac leaf decorating shirts and T-shirts in large lurex 3D.
Outfits are accessorised by scarves in contrasting colours and materials ranging from silk, velvet and satin, to merino wool, cashmere and cotton help to accentuate the highly-polished look. Of all the pieces, I particularly liked the masculine trousers with high waists and palazzo lines, as well as the longuette skirts worn with this season’s new look bomber jackets.
The new Autumnn/Winter 17-18 shoes collection was also shown, along with a selection of new Coliac bags. Decoration, colour and appliqués are the name of the game here, with sparkling details, stud and sculpted leaves.
Totally loving it
