Definitely menswear was full of surprises at Feria Moda TFE this weekend, which saw classic tailoring guru Nestor Rodriquez interpret an up to date atheistic. Incorporating a diagonal buttoning waistcoat on his 3 piece suit was just the au d'œuvre of what was to follow.
I really liked the ochre coloured carrot pant with a crossover front. And it also highlighted one my favourite Abraham Zambrana accessories, the suede 2017 napsack.
Following up on the 3 piece theme, came a deep navy ensemble . A mao collared sleeveless over coat with signature diagonal buttoning over a long tunic and pants. The white Abraham Zambrana tassled loafers looked splendid.
Nestor Rodriguez is first and foremost a tailor and details are extremely important . I enjoyed the beautiful jewelled brooch pins that gave the short and boxy blazers the perfect final touch, very much on trend.
The Knot company is a label from designers Juan Carlos Armas y Ascensión Gómez and primarily a swimwear brand. This year we were treated to the extension. I thought I had about seen every boiler suit in London but then came this version.
The piece was looser in fit and keeping in feel to a tailored military effect . It felt tidier and infinitely more wearable for hotter climes. Worn here with their net joggers, sealed the look for me.
In fact all their lace net tops with trimmings were desirable. Loose in fit but not too baggy.
And with skirts on the agenda their long pocketed version felt totally natural ..more possibly cassock style in essence .. but then religion is never too far off here.
