It is swelteringly hot outside and some of us are working this august ! Imagine the last things you want to wear are stiff trouser suits and shirts or tight fitting formal wear and heels.
Summer weather is for throwing on floaty little dresses, bikinis and flip flops and heading tothe park or the beach, not suiting and booting up and slogging it out for nine hours in a hot office.
But, some of us have work to do and although the higher temperatures make it harder to find office appropriate outfits, with a couple of essential key pieces, there is an endlessrealm of chic, stylish and most importantly cool looks that will have you looking great and feeling comfortable. And wait you might even feel like your on holiday to boot too!!
I chose this month shows in Paris to pick some key looks for a working summer wardrobe .Our darling fashionistas were working hard Ina sweltering Paris covering the SS18 shows for us
Cotton is a go to option in the heat as it keeps you cool and comfortable and is available in a huge range of great cuts and looks this season. Cotton or linen trousers suits in lightcolours such as white, cream or paste or perhaps striped, are a cooler alternative to the traditional office suit – just make sure you go for a beautifully cut option.
Long billowing trousers and skirts are a great look for summer worn with a simple tank topin neutral colours to keep it office appropriate. Add some shape with a belt clinching in thewaist line, or go for loose waisted trousers with a sleeveless top and jacket to guarantee comfort and an elevated style.
If your office blasts the air conditioning all day, pair some dark jeans with a classic white T-shirt and a blazer to keep the cold air from freezing you.
As for footwear, in the summer all you want to do it free those toes, so keep it cool yetprofessional with some elegant open toed sandals paired with a maxi dress and a blazer to incorporate the office feel.
