I've always been an advocate for fashion influenced by architecture, which is one of the reasons I love Eudon Choi. His SS18 collection – E1027 –continues to look to architecture for inspiration, and more specifically designer Eileen Gray’smodernist E-1027 house in southeastern france. I've already spoken about his pant suit which are stronger than ever - something I am sure that comes from his tailoring background.
Choi's collection uses a maritime colour palette, mirroring the coastal location of the house, and the strong geometric forms seen in the building's design are adapted by Choi into clear lines and feminine silhouettes.
Collaborating with New York-based jewellery designer Chris Habana for this season, there is clear reference to Eileen Gray'smulti-functionalpolished chromium and plate glass furniture.
Eudon Choi also continues his bag collaboration with international lifestyle brand Decke, expanding
into footwear for the first time this season.
