My best Christmas list always starts with things I adore and that I’ve collated throughout the year, and yes it does gets pretty huge !! So I always tend to leave it to the very last minute to cull. This year the cull is later than ever and because I am spending it on the Canary islands ... the chance of getting any presents that include international post is terribly slim, as most of my friends and family always leave their Xmas shopping till the last minute. This though happily means that half of my list disappears ! Luckily though, there is a huge remainder. Designers on the islands that sometimes get overlooked but that I adore ..
Here are just 5, but there are more than 50 on my slimline list.
1.Pedro Palmas - The basic tee. You always need a basic white - although logos are not always my thing, this was love at first glance. The Pedro Palmas very well placed logo on a white airtex top which is easy care is perfect for travelling .
2. Pomeline - Winter layering . A new discovery this year the split pommeline skirt a unique and colourful piece in beautiful material to wear over shorts, wollen hosiery or trousers this winter
3. Aurelia Gil - Daily dresses. Aurelia Gil’s “Flores Nocturnas” show clashed with París RTW so I didn’t get to buy off the runway. The polo neck flower print sweater neck dress is a classic and can be worn belted over trousers or layered with tulle . As with all her collections it’s extremely wearable.
4. Santiago Carballo- Designer back pack. Because I’ve promised myself I need to face the fear and get on a bike next year, the Santiago Carballo back pack is a stylish must .. there is a variety of colour stripes to choose from. So I know if I get it in an orange stripe, I will be so excited to wear it that it will dissipate any rememebereance of my motorbike accident for sure .
5. Sedomir Rodriguez de la Sierra - Coat or jacket . Maybe because bridal and evening wear are his thing.. it’s probably the reason that his jackets and coats are so glamorous . They’re also ample enough to allow various layers for winter but of course so fantastic that you make an entrance every where you go !
