Above the words of Carl Sagan .. on the press leaflet for OAMC’ s Spring Summer collection hits a chord.
Its something the label strives every season to achieve. Whether be in the fabrics or the innovative way they compose the pieces. My personal favourite this season has to be the knitwear, the feeling of lightness achieved and the way the techniques utilized in the yarn create mini erruptions and volume. Compression the key theme of the collection can be seen in the tightened hem of sleeves highlighted in a different colour.
Also compression is highlighted in the cinching drawcords around the hoods, and belts of pants. A series of fantastic floaty creams, jacket and coat were kept in check with a bibbed trimming of what looked like a brushed cotton material.
Although the Compression theme was more based on terms of spacial and temporal dimensions of social life .. I think and not the outer space variety there was a glorious array of silver foil pieces, in particular a fabulous foil coat with a back full of printed graphics.
Definitely lot of fantastic pieces which are both wearable and beautiful to the eye
