Three ways gentlemen pack for a weekend getaway
Given that the summer season is sticking around for a bit longer and people are planning big and small summer escapes, I decided it would be interesting to look at how the dapper gentleman of today packs for a weekend away in style.
I personally quite like these Carl Friedrik bags, as they have all been especially created with both work and travel in mind, making them perfect options for a range of different events, always with that all-important element of style at the forefront of the conversation.
So without further ado, here are 3 ways to travel in style this summer.
• Casual Fabric Holdall Bag
When: Ideal for the adventurous outdoor getaways and beach breaks.
Why: Fabric bags are light, easy to carry, and are less sensitive to harsh environments.
What to pack: Pedro Palmas totally! His towel and swim shorts, are eyecatching, then a deconstructed patchwork short and roomy, oversized short trousers from Marni, slick Gucci Rhyton Sneakers and sunglasses.
Example: C3-4 Holdall
• Leather Weekender Bag
When: The perfect companion for smart casual countryside weekends and sailing trips.
Why: Conveniently spacious to pack everything you may need for a weekend away, without compromising on style.
What to pack: Lightweight linen suit from Ralph Lauren, a pair of casual chic loafers which can be worn with or without socks like the classic G.H. Bass & Co. “Larson” Weejuns, iPad.
Example: Hanbury or Santi Carballo’s ‘Multi Colour’, case.
• Leather Overnight Briefcase
When: Suitable between the home, office and the odd overnight excursion.
Why: Designed as a minimalistic briefcase with extraordinary capacity, meaning that it can perfectly fit the schedule and needs of even the most discerning urban professional.
