So if your going to go over the top like Tom Ford with traditional leopard print motifs in popping neon colours .. do it NOW. Before it becomes a fever !
In fact it looks like leopard print might be the print ‘du Jour’. If price points are an issue Mango has a whole top to toe look in leopard and that includes gloves and socks, so just go for the lot , and do it for impact!
That way at least by mid season you can wear the bits individually with a little more discretion.
So what’s our fascination for animal prints.......
Well for one they are believed to convey power to the wearer, they also evoke a sense of luxury and wealth. For example, the round pattern of the leopard print also suggests not only gracefulness and powerful hunting but also feminine and cunning . Hence the prints erotic connotations too.
So let’s go for my fave designers doing the look and I am not including Dolce And Gabbana because it’s a given and also they have made animal prints their signature .
For my day to day it’s got to be Adam Selman although more tiger print it’s ironic erotica and ‘80’s brightness seriously appeals to me for autumn layering .
