I read an article whilst in london suggesting there were two options this fashion season and I had to be either Puritanical or Maximilian unfortunately I think I am both!
Then I guess there are lots of people with the same feeling because on the london catwalk this season both ruled! Romance and acid. Yes there were the transparencies but I guess surrounded by such detail that your eye roved elsewhere .
Then of course there were the anniversary’s and these were highlights . First Victoria Beckham 10th anniversary and her £115 tee of the re -imaging of the “legs” that was shot by Juergen Teller, and printed onto a limited-run, and sold at her Dover Street store. It was Signed By Beckham, herself post show .
Then there was the Mary Katrantzou and I can’t get over the sparkling Swarovski beauties of her trompe l’oeil perfume bottles . Yes they were something from her début in 2008 but never like this! Even seeing them up close later made one catch a breath they will be on a red carpet event very very soon ! Take your bets now on whose going to be wearing these pieces.
Then there was the much awaited Ricardo Tisci début at Burberry which is always a little difficult because one expects soo much . Yes it was very different maybe it lacked a little pizazz but then with over 120 looks it’s hard ! Very smart very elegant very wearable .. and there were those unusual skirts with what looked like a leaky waist band , fab !
