I have a fascination for vintage gloves, and have a pretty good collection from the 50's 60's and 70's.
Theyre also perfect to use an example of the role change of women in the last 100 years or so.
In the early 20th century a woman of any standing hands were pale smooth thin and graceful. It's interesting to see pictures of tomato pickers in the fields, even up till the 1950's, totally covered head to toe, and with hands swaddled in bandages, to try and keep them less rough and of course untanned.Read More
