Amazing ! At Angel Sanchez the models seemed to be enveloped in intensely coloured petals from the tropics. The cut was simple to allow delicate floral detailing in leather and acrylic make more of an impact – you could almost see flowers walking down the runway with their stigmas, pollen and anthers.
Angel Sanchez SS16 was a tropical garden filled with green, citrus yellow, mango orange and fuchsia . The only print was large and an ode to the Glorious Hibiscus (Cayena) flower.
A glorious collection from this Venezuelan born designer whose muse is a woman that wants to get noticed whilst still remaining elegant and poised and very LATINA.
Mary Benson’s ‘Letters from the Darkest Corners of my Heart’ SS16 collection perfectly depicts the dark power of a woman when she finally realises that her recent break-up or heartache makes her stronger.
Her girl oozes with that fierce self-possessed confidence you have when you know you are turning heads and making a statement with your OOTD.
Our femininity is something to be celebrated, and Benson does that to perfection with her ethereal modern Goth chick, dressed in pastel coloured chiffon and tulle which falls in voluminous flowing shapes and cascades to the floor.
The pieces are adorned with ribbon embroidery and her signature vinyl embellishments are embossed on denim, satin and jersey.
The abstract theme of love-lost and hidden drama is further conveyed through the opulent splashes of colour and the creepy, twisted prints of watching eyes disguised as prettified floral patterns – dark yet at the same time feminine and delicate.
Of course add to this some of my all time favourite accessories that collaborated with Mary Benson - Melissa shoes, Tatty Devine jewellery and Stephen Jones head pieces 'Heartbreak' never felt so good.

One of my personal favourite little local treasure troves is Kombinat house, second hand clothing shop AND charming little tea room combined.
Based around the concept of conscious, sustainable Slow Shopping, Kombinat House is not only a fabulously stocked second-hand and vintage boutique; it also has a dedicated area for local Romanian fashion designers to sell their clothes and handmade accessories.
Located in Down Town Bucharest, just 5 minutes from Piata Romana metro station, Kombinat’s vintage shop has a constantly changing stock of retro seasonal looks, accessories, shoes, bags and even home ware.
And when you are tired of rummaging through the designer silk scarves, printed dresses and shirts, up on the first floor is the Sufrageria Kombinat Drawing-Room. Kitted out with books, magazines, games and (most importantly for us working travellers) FREE Wi-Fi!

'I know what you did last summer', Fydor Golan debut pre-collection for SS16 definitely got you popping out of your seat!
First of all there was the racing car prints, either blown up and distorted or in mini me version all over the gorgeous puff ball blouses and skirts. I am sure I saw a motorbike wheel in there ? I strained hard enough.
Then there were patchwork dresses of coloured snake skins with perforated mesh and sports lycra - cut in bias, incredibly flattering & easy to wear.
I guess my favourite though has to be Dave Kaufman's exploration of textures, cutting up denim, bleaching it and then reassembling it to lighten its weight. I just loved the feathering of the denim edges and the way it created an almost fur quality...
Unfortunately I wanted more and would have loved to get a closer feel backstage...his pieces are truly meticulously executed but stay very much in optimistic fun mode ...
