Ok so maybe a red sparkling Australian Hungerford Hill Shiraz 2011 might be a more deliciously dangerous option than coffee. It's well rounded soft palate and bubbles certainly beg for more than one flute...
...But, check this steady stream of creamy dark nectar oozing from a well-worked machine at the London Coffee Festival. Sexy, right? And you know that I know which one is more sensible for an immensely jet-lagged fashionista determined to cover all the showrooms and shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia this coming week.
Funnily enough, the Australians are equally fussy about their coffee and I haven't been able to get anything similar to it in preparation of an Americano. In Surrey Hills, Sydney, it's got to be the long tall black, and that is really all coffee.
The thing about coffee is that it goes incredibly well with chocolate and I can do that combo very well indeed. The London Coffee Festival is featuring over 250 artisan coffee and gourmet food stalls, tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas, interactive workshops, street food, coffee-based cocktails, live music, DJs, art exhibitions and much more. It spans three days over this weekend. It is also the official launch event of UK Coffee Week™.
And although I am not there, I will be toasting my cups of coffees during this coming week in its honour!
