Flying Chic - Accessorising at MBFWA

Fresh from Shanghai for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney I was in jet lag mode coupled with a bit of culture shockComing from 'covered and quirky' to pretty much 'bare and glam', it was a real hard hit. So it was a bit of a tonic on my first day to meet fashonista Hao Zhang from Flying Chic.

By cleverly combining designer wear, vintage and 'homemade by mum,' she created a look that was different, unique and still bang on trend!

It's always good to know that you can look spectacular by just adding a few pieces that you have at home to a smile and red lips. Above Hao chose a vintage belt and scarf, a handmade bag from Bali, added a mum-made jumper and a Sass & Bide dress. Of course as my mother always recommended, you NEED TO WEAR one truly to-die-for item in YOUR LOOK. In this case, a pair of Manolo Blahniks!

Flying Chic kept me fascinated day-in day-off for the duration of Fashion Week with her clever combinations and elegant and quirky styling. With a penchant for shoes that probably equals mine; you can guess what her to-die-for pieces were each day. Crumbs, I want those boots, please...

Above Hao is wearing a vintage skirt and shirt under a Sandro coat and Dolce & Gabbana sunnies. The shoes are Sense, which although are not anywhere near as glam as the rest of her collection of Dior, Louboutin and Charlotte Olympia, they are just perfect for this monochrome look. Therein lies a true fashionista!
