A pre Christmas break off season it has to be Cannes.
For a city as glitzy and glamorous as Cannes, you would expect to find gorgeous, luxury hotels lining every street and ensuring all the high-end celebrity guests were spoilt for choice. The reality is that most of the five-star hotels in this chic city on the French Riviera, are tired, run-down and just a tad on the old-fashioned and traditional side.
That is, all apart from Five Seas Hotel, a cosy, yet super stylish little boutique hotel with 45 spacious luxury rooms and suites, a fabulous bar and restaurant, a stunning spa and a sexy rooftop pool area, all located just a stone’s throw from the busy shopping streets of La Croisette and Rue D’Antibes.
The hotel is relatively new to the scene in Cannes, and seriously deserves its status as the cities best kept secret. The rooms are large and spacious with plenty of room to stretch out, unpack and even work if you need to. More than half of the rooms are actually suites and include private terraces to soak up the sun on, and living and dining space, all designed with the same contemporary, slick and stylish look and feel.
The Wi-Fi is conveniently speedy throughout the hotel, and if you are someone who prefers a bit of conviviality or working with others around you, the bar and the brasserie are both excellent places to sit and enjoy some F&B with your book or your laptop.
